Overall Rating (7) average park

We liked this park, the park is a little old but the people are friendly. The park is very large with quite a few annual sites. About half of the sites have full hook ups and the remainder only have water and electric. Its a nice 1-1/2 hour drive to Nashville, Hohenwald has a Wal-Mart and it is only about 15 minutes away. Located right off the scenic Natchez Trace Parkway, 830-acre forested preserve features a large 3 mile long lake, pontoon tours, and excellent fishing for bass, shellcracker, crappie and more. Not far away, Nashville offers many sports and entertainment attractions. Other interesting day trips include Loretta Lynn's Dude Ranch in Hurricane Mills and the home of President James Polk in Columbia.

Middleton, Tennessee

Overall Rating (6) average park

We would have gave this a higher rating except for the amount of full hook-ups. This park is huge with 6-10 full hook-up's. Very laid back park with not much going on. We loved the deer and peacefulness of this place. Memphis is about 1-1/2 hour away. Middleton, Tennessee is only about 15 minutes away. Read more on our travels to this park and the area.

Peaceful valleys and green velvet hills provide a perfect backdrop to this preserve's scenic lake. The fishing is good from your boat or the lake's bank. Memphis provides paddle-wheel riverboat cruises reminiscent of the Mark Twain days, Elvis Presley's Graceland Mansion, an 1800s Victorian Village which includes 18 landmarks, Beale Street, the city's trademark and tribute to "the blues", and much more!

Amenities Include
Badminton, Basketball Court, Clubhouse, Family Center Game Room, Horseshoe Pits, Lake, Laundry Facilities, Mini-Golf, Nature Trails, Pet Path, Ping-Pong, Pool Table, Shuffleboard, Soccer Field, Softball Field, Swimming pool, Tennis Court, TV Room, Volleyball Court, Wading Pool, Wi-Fi Access

Spring Grove, Minnesota

Hidden Bluffs: Spring Grove, Minnesota
Link to Hidden Bluffs website

Overall Rating (7) average park

We liked this park and would have gave it a higher rating except for the dirt road leading into the campground. As we are pulling into the campground we noticed we had blown a rear axle seal and we won’t be going anywhere until it gets fixed. The campground was very accommodating in letting us fix it at our campsite. The only thing we hated about this campground is the 2 mile dirt road into the park. Last summer I vowed I would never go to a campground on a dirt road, we had no idea of the dirt road, I hate dirt roads. About a 1-1/2 hour drive from Rochester, Minnesota. Hidden Bluffs is southeast of the Twin Cities with easy access to Root River Fishing & Bicycle Path, Niagara & Mystery Caves, Amish Communities, Kayaking, Tubing, Hunting & Four-wheeling! Near Forestville, Lansboro, Harmony & Spring Grove, Minnesota our Resort is tucked into a valley made up of beautiful hardwood forest and limestone bluffs and offers the best in what we call "natural amenities". Like nearly one mile of picturesque trout stream, and over four miles of groomed hiking trails!
